s1.gif (47bytes) AUBADE HALL ( Toyama City Theater for Performing Arts)

I painted a wall in the greenroom in acrylic. The painting is reproduced in numerous ceramic tiles which will be signed by the performers and pasted on the wall so that they will finally cover the whole original wall painting. I had to think of the number of the tiles to be signed and make the patterns fit the tiles to be signed. I believe the painting is good enough for the famous names of the performers. (Open to the public when there is no performance)

I designed and produced stenciled decorations in oil-based ink above the entrance of the private rooms of the old folks. I worked with the concept of 'Arts and Crafts' of the American interior design company hok, and used Japanese motifs familiar to the old folks since their childhood, so that they, even with their weakness in memory and judgment, can surely reach their own rooms. It was the first attempt ever in Japan. I also produced patterns in sequence on the lintels in some rooms.

I designed and produced decoration on the walls of the 16 landings in the pair of staircases. The pattern is a series of sea-suggesting Kandinskian grids varying in numbers . The color changes from pink to red, orange, yellow, yellowish green, green, blue to purple as one goes up the staircases. I used acrylic with the undercoating of shell powder and other materials.
